4017 Enacted (2017)
Educational Workshops and Mixed Media

How might identity and territories be transformed by advances in artificial intelligence? What if multiple data streams could define citizenship, or if Europe itself ceased to be a fixed continent and became a landmass with borders changing daily according to data flows, machine learning and algorithms? 4017 Enacted collaborated with students from the citizens programme at the Thomas Tallis School in London to imagine the future of European identity through the lens of new technologies and reflections on our current socio-political landscape. Presented as an alternative museum tour, outcomes of the school workshops and the designers research formed the basis for daily guided tours within the Victoria & Albert Museum.

The project was commissioned by the Goethe Institute London and the Victoria & Albert Museum for Collecting Europe.
